We invite all aikido enthusiasts to a unique celebration of the 50th anniversary of aikido in Poland, which will take place in Poznań on 13–14 June 2026. The special guest will be Mitsuteru Ueshiba Dojo-Cho, who will lead a ceremonial aikido seminar.
Mitsuteru Ueshiba (Jap: 植芝 充央), born in 1981, is the great-grandson of Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of aikido, and the son of the current Dōshu, Moriteru Ueshiba. As a representative of the fourth generation of the Ueshiba family, Mitsuteru continues the family tradition of inheriting the role of technical and cultural leader of aikido. Since April 2012, he has served as Dōjōchō (technical director) of the main Aikikai dojo – Hombu Dōjō in Tokyo. Mitsuteru Ueshiba conducts regular training sessions there, participates in international aikido events and represents the Aikikai around the world.
The celebrations of the 50th anniversary of aikido in Poland will take place at the Poznań International Fair in Poznań, at 14 Głogowska Street.
