Andrzej Bazylko started his adventure with aikido in October 1987 at aikido club of Warsaw University. He founded Private Aikido Club „BAST” in October 1991, with Tomasz Sowinski, and later in September 1996 he embarked on Private Aikido Club – Andrzej Bazylko, transformed next into Aikido Andrzej Bazylko. He’s regular teacher there, leads numerous seminars, summer and winter camps. He taught aikido in Japan, France, Great Britain, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Azerbaijan and United Arab Emirates. He was nominated in January 2010 by Doshu Moriteru Useshiba to 5 dan aikido Aikikai.
In September 1990 he has made his first trip to Cercle Christian Tissier in Vincennes, where he returned next many times. First alone, but later with his disciples. He decided to study aikido under direction of sensei Christian Tissier (7th dan aikido Aikikai). Accepted as a disciple, he still deepens his knowledge and skills in his outstanding teacher’s care.
Andrzej Bazylko shared the privilege of participating in sensei Seigo Yamaguchi (8th dan aikido Aikikai) – teacher of sensei Tissier, seminars. The wish of fathoming a secret of unusual beauty of sensei Yamaguchi movements and efficiency of his techniques effected Andrzej Bazylko decision of teaching aikido. Running into other great disciples of Seigo Yamaguchi – Seishiro Endo (8th dan aikido Aikikai) and Masatoshi Yasuno (7th dan aikido Aikikai) – had also a strong influence on his understanding of aikido. Learning aikido from Christian Tissier led to the fascination of japanese sword. Getting together with sensei Minoru Inaba sensei (8th dan aikido Aikikai) – master of Kashima Shin Ryu swordsmanship) was crucial for Andrzej Bazylko. He’s a disciple of sensei Inaba from May 2002. He was nominated in April 2009 by sensei Minoru Inaba to chuden Kashima Shin Ryu.
Pascal Durchon (5th dan aikido Aikikai), the accomplished disciple of Christian Tissier, has much facilitated apprehension of his transfer. Andrzej and Pascal are friends since many years. Trainings, discussions and common lectures deepened passion of discovering the secrets of budo.
